I’m happy I called/emailed and spoke to a hotel rep before cancelling based on reviews. I explained that I had read about bed bugs and moldy bathrooms and ripped couches and no food options. Tom informed me that there was a new owner as of 2020 and then the pandemic happened. They’ve been trying to revive the restaurant since but have had no luck. He said there are delivery options and breakfast places nearby. He even specified what kinds. He told me I’d have new carpet, new beds, and a newly painted room. I was happy with the room I got. I requested a microwave and fridge as well and was happy it was there upon check in. I had hot water. A couple of folks staying with us, said we didn’t get the patio level because the heating was broken. I failed to ask this upon checkout. Was looking forward to the kids playing in the snow right outside our room. Kids had fun outside in the snow anyway and in the pool. Yes it is dark and a bit chilly. But it has a little village type feel and those two things didn’t bother me. Joseph at the desk was very pleasant and a young lady whom I don’t recall the name of. I recommend just calling and requesting what you need and it just may come true.

This is a great hotel with many amenities. I used to come here with my parents for at least 15 years in a row. Joe the manager was always kind and good to us.

I am leaving five big shiny stars for a couple reasons: one, because the staff was so sweet. Two, because the indoor swimming pool was absolutely epic. Great place to unwind after a long day of antiquing. I Only wish there was a hotel bar so that I could enjoy a pina colada by the pool.

A little bit musty, but well worth a visit. They need a little love, but this is an awesome place to host an event. Car club cruise, retro flea market, reunion; book here. Great location and great bones. Keep in mind this isn't a newly built modular hotel, this is a legit vintage complex. Some people's allergies can be triggered during the winter when the envelope is closed, but a summer cruise has more airflow.

They hosted our campus ministry retreat with 450+ ppl. we’ve been doing this conference for decades at different locations, and this was an easiest hotel to work with. The amenities are great, the rooms are spacious. The view of the lake is incredible and the conference facility are clean and modern. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you to Lise, Tom & the whole staff. We hope to be back again soon!

I’m giving it a 5 because of what you get for your money. It is not the fanciest, it’s not the most sparkling clean— HOWEVER. If you hate concrete jungles and like to be able to have a little walk by a lake this place is really nice. The price is very reasonable. The front desk people are consistently great. We’ve been coming here for years when we loose power with three kids. A lot of times they’ll wave a cot fee, let us check in early, check out late. When you need to switch rooms they help you out. They know how to keep us coming back, that’s for sure. The pool is lovely :)

Booked last minute, I was fortunate to get a room near the lake. Joe, at the front desk was wonderful to talk to on the phone, and was just as pleasant in person. Upon my arrival, the whole property seemed like a ghost town, and seemed eerily quiet. I could tell that a little spruce-up was needed, but the lobby and courtyard inside have remained in good shape and are beautiful. It was odd not to have a fridge and microwave in my room, but saw later on the website that they have them on request in certain rooms. The bed was comfortable, I slept well. The next morning I was sleeping in late and an event started in the tent and around the lake at about 11. When I went out to my car, to my surprise, the parking lots were full! Such a stark difference from the day before. The event went on all day, an EDM party, but everyone at the attending and staying at the hotel seemed really cool and respectful. The music stopped at 10, and they could have after partied in rooms, but I heard no noise whatsoever. I would definitely stay again. The price was great too, with it being the summer.
